FTTH and FTTx network deployment
We assess FTTH and FTTx packages for operators and integrators. Feeder, distribution, NAP, ODF, drops, splicing, testing and activation are included only when the project scope and confirmed resources support them.
Scope, resources, qualifications and schedule are confirmed following technical review of the project.
Scope inputs
Scaling FTTH requires repeatable production without losing traceability.
Productivity is not measured only in metres or activations. Every front must close with material usage, location, port, fibre, power, photographs, exceptions and updated drawings. That discipline allows growth without creating documentary debt.
Feeder and distribution
Cable, reserves, closures, branches, ODFs and continuity from headend to service areas.
- Architecture and capacity
- Nodes and splitters
- Optical budget
NAP and access
NAPs, drops, boxes, connectors, labelling and terminations.
- Port occupancy
- Bend radii and reserves
- Routing and protection
Production and acceptance
Fusion, testing, system records, redlines, inventory and KPI control.
- Daily production record
- Crew-level control
- Close-out by area or lot
Method
Lot-based deployment system
Area release
Engineering, permits, material, acceptance criteria and priorities.
Survey
Poles, ducts, routes, NAPs, crossings, reserves and risks.
Production
Stringing, installation, closures, fusion, connectors and drops.
Daily control
Metres, nodes, activations, materials, incidents, photographs and open items.
Testing
Power, continuity, OTDR where required, cleaning and correction.
Lot close-out
Redlines, inventory, protocols, acceptance and production reconciliation.
Scope inputs
Definitions required before crew mobilisation
These inputs turn assumptions into controlled decisions.
- Area, premises count and density
- Released engineering and lot boundaries
- Available aerial/underground infrastructure
- Client-supplied and contractor-supplied materials
- PON architecture, splitters and optical budget
- Acceptance criteria and SLA
- Activation, inventory and ticketing systems
- Daily report and certification format
- Permits, HSE, traffic and access
- Production measurement and approval mechanism
Commercial engineering
Where productivity is gained or lost
Incomplete engineering
Crews wait, improvise or return when the area has not been released.
Unbalanced materials
A minor missing item can stop a whole lot and distort performance.
Late acceptance criteria
Changing photographs, levels, naming or formats after work creates mass rework.
Detached certification
Physical production without documentary reconciliation delays invoicing and hides defects.
Next step
Deliverables to agree for acceptance
The scope must define which records, measurements and documents apply to the contracted package.
- Work plan by area and crew
- Daily records and production control
- NAP, closure, fibre and port inventory
- Tests and evidence to acceptance criteria
- Redlines and as-built drawings
- Lot dossier and production reconciliation

FAQ
Questions that change scope, price or acceptance.
Do you work per unit or as a package?
The commercial model can be per unit, lot, crew, area or closed scope. Measurement, acceptance, materials, rework and certification must be defined.
Can you integrate with an operator or main contractor?
Integration is assessed against systems, SLA, HSE, materials, supervision, documentation and invoicing requirements. Responsibilities are agreed before the package is confirmed.
Which KPIs can be agreed?
Released, accepted and rejected production; rework; material usage; time; incidents; test quality; documentation and certification cycle.
Is activation included?
Testing, power measurement, activation and support can be included according to equipment, access, systems and agreed responsibilities.
FTTH scope checklist
Define the work package before requesting a quotation.
Use an editable checklist to describe the network, allocate responsibilities and agree acceptance criteria. Available in Spanish and English; it works locally and sends no information automatically.
