Medium- and low-voltage electrical substations
We assess engineering, supply, installation and commissioning packages for substations and electrical rooms. Feasibility depends on confirmed competence, qualifications and resources; interfaces, testing and responsibilities are agreed before mobilisation.
Scope, resources, qualifications and schedule are confirmed following technical review of the project.
Scope and decisions
A substation is accepted as a coordinated system, not as a collection of equipment.
Civil works, switchgear, transformers, busbars, protection, control, grounding and auxiliary services must operate under one philosophy. We structure the package by interfaces so every supply, test and responsibility has an accountable owner.
Engineering and interfaces
Review of single-line diagrams, short-circuit levels, selectivity, layouts, cables, routes and boundaries with civil and control works.
- Interface matrix
- Load and cable lists
- Energisation plan
Electromechanical installation
Receipt, positioning, connection and termination of switchgear, transformers, boards and auxiliary services.
- Busbars and conductors
- Control and signalling
- Routes and terminations
Testing and commissioning
Pre-commissioning protocols, functional checks, protection coordination and acceptance dossier.
- Continuity and insulation
- Control tests
- Punch list close-out
Method
Work sequence
Scope definition
We separate supply, civil works, installation, control, protection, energisation and documentation.
Engineering
We validate single lines, layouts, loads, fault levels, selectivity, cables and grounding.
Procurement
We close equipment, documentation, FAT, packing, transport, storage and traceability.
Installation
We position, connect, terminate, label and inspect the electrical package.
Testing
Electrical and functional checks by the competent personnel defined in the agreed inspection and test plan.
Energisation and dossier
We close observations, support energisation and hand over as-built records.
Required inputs
Information required to quote without hidden assumptions
Correct inputs turn a general requirement into an executable, measurable and quotable scope.
- Single-line diagram and operating philosophy
- Voltage, power, frequency and fault levels
- Switchgear, transformer, busbar and board specifications
- Protection coordination study or criteria
- Layout, access, lifting and civil readiness
- Power, control and communication cable lists
- Grounding and lightning protection design
- FAT/SAT, test and acceptance requirements
- Outage windows, permits, LOTO and switching authority
- Redline, protocol and dossier format
Commercial engineering
What drives price and schedule
Main equipment and manufacturing lead time
Switchgear, transformers and protection systems often dominate schedule and cash exposure.
Civil works and interfaces
Foundations, buildings, routes, drainage, access and third-party boundaries change sequencing and crews.
Outage and energisation windows
Work on existing assets requires coordination, contingency and authorised personnel availability.
Testing and documentation
FAT/SAT depth, protection testing and dossier requirements change hours and specialist resources.
Acceptance
Deliverables and close-out documentation
The package is complete when the technical result and the supporting records can be accepted.
- Scope and interface matrix
- Inspection and test plan
- Receipt and installation records
- Electrical and functional protocols
- Punch list and observation close-out
- As-built drawings and final dossier

Questions that change scope, price or acceptance.
Can you take installation only?
Yes. The package may be limited to receipt, installation, connection, testing or assisted commissioning, provided engineering and interface responsibilities are defined.
Can supply of switchgear and transformers be included?
Yes. The offer must close manufacturer, standard, documents, lead time, FAT, transport, storage and warranty.
How do you manage an extension to an operating substation?
We survey actual conditions and define outage, switching, affected protection and contingency before execution.
What records are handed over?
Protocols, inspections, tests, cable and equipment lists, redlines, punch list and dossier according to contract scope.
